Update April 2016 The Trainer's Challenge is just that, a challenge and sometimes these horses can really put us to the test. But, I think it takes great courage to know when you and a horse you are training recognize your limits. Not all horses and trainers will get along! Sometimes the horse and the trainer are quick to recognize the holes in each other. With all that said, Davina approached us with her concerns regarding Patch of Color. We wanted to make the situation with Patch and Davina the best we could. Davina had accomplished so much with Patch over the last 90 days. His ground manners are excellent, he loads in a trailer and he gained the foundation he needed to become a great riding partner. The only set back, Patch has some issues with fear and bucking. So, we wanted to take this opportunity to help Patch succeed and help Davina move forward. We had Patch evaluated and determined he needed a strong leader to help him free up his legs, gain control of his power source and work on getting his hind legs disengaged and loosen him up where he isn't so stiff, so that he is able to move more freely and without concern of bucking. With the wonderful help of Greg Morris, Greg will be able to take these last 30 days and work through Patch's rough spot. I'm sure between Davina and Greg, we will see a confident and ready to go Patch of Color come May 21st. Greg will showcase Patch of Color at the Lazy E and show what 2 trainers combined can accomplish. Although this is a challenge and sometimes unique situations arise. This situation presented itself with the possibility of having another wonderful rescue horse the opportunity to receive some training and find that much needed forever home they long for. Although a disadvantage to Davina, what an awesome opportunity for Bindy and Blaze's. Davina will take the next 30 days and help make Bindy a great riding companion and hopefully someone's adopted baby on May 21st. Keep your eyes on Patch of Color and Bindy, I see amazing things to come for both of these horses and I'm sure one that you won't want to miss. We will have 21 amazing horses available for adoption on May 21st at the Lazy E Arena.

Available for Adoption on May 21st, 2016 to pre-approved adopters through a Silent Auction. All bids start at $800.00 on the day of the event only. The day of the event will be the only opportunity to adopt a horse with over $3000.00 of training alone, for the starting bid of $800.00. If the horses do not get adopted the day of the event, the adoption fee will be higher once brought back to our facility.

Patch of Color has been adopted to a wonderful family in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Patch of Color is going to be extremely well loved and spoiled rotten in his forever, loving home.
